This is a course where you accept the challenge and commit to becoming a technical diver. The PADI Tec 45 course extends your depth limit to 45 metres/150 feet.

About the Padi Tec 45 Diving Course

You will learn to plan and conduct simple repetitive decompression dives using a single decompression cylinder with up to 100% oxygen. You will use dual cylinders, which can be in either a back or sidemount configuration. Tec 45 is a prerequisite for Tec 50. There is also the option for divers to earn the Tec 45 Trimix Diver certification.

Requirements for the Padi Tec 45 course with Mar de Valencia

To register for the Tec 45 course, you must meet these requirements:

* If you meet this with an accreditation certificate, provide proof of CPR/First Aid training within the previous two years.

You also need to have a Diver Medical Form signed by a doctor within the last 12 months.
Please note that qualifying certifications from another dive training organisation may apply, ask your PADI Tec 45 Instructor.

Team

You will use full technical diving equipment including wings and doubles, plus an additional deco tank, or you can use a technical sidemount configuration.

Our school, as a Padi Tec 45 Instructor centre, will explain the mandatory diving equipment for your technical diving adventures.

Development of the Padi Tec 45 Course

The Padi Tec 45 Dive course consists of seven sections of theoretical knowledge development, four practical application sessions and four open water dives. Building on what you learn in the Tec 40 course, you will focus on additional techniques, procedures and emergency skills.

You will learn more advanced decompression, gas planning, decompression modelling and sharpen your thinking as a technical diver. Tec 45 Trimix students will also learn about trimix diving.
